About The Position
This position is a direct care staff member who works directly with adults with autism in this residential/vocational facility and their families to provide training in the areas of self-help, communication, social and leisure skills, vocational skills, behavioral support and independence.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with individuals with autism or intellectual/developmental disabilities.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Responsibilities
- Provide training in self-help, communication, social and leisure skills, vocational skills, behavioral support and independence to adults with autism in a residential/vocational facility.
- Work directly with adults with autism and their families.
