About The Position

Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with physical limitations (using lifts/transfers)
- Strong written and visual communication skills
- Dependable in attendance and timeliness
- Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching and walking for periods of time
- Must have reliable transportation, clean driving record, and proof of car insurance
Responsibilities
- Provides direct care to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Performs personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding and ambulation, medical monitoring and health care related tasks
- Documents services provided. Keeps track of casework notes, daily activities, behavioral assessments
- Maximizes independence in various life skills including nutrition, cooking, finance, community participation and social skills
- Transport individuals, as appropriate, into community for outings or appointments
- All other duties as assigned
