About The Position

We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands-on care to an individual with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Personal Support Services professionals assist individuals and families living in their personal homes. Individual programs are designed around the needs and desires of each participant and implemented with attention and care. Whether living alone or with family members, individually tailored services are the best way to support people on their own terms. Services provided are personalized and directed by the individual receiving supports and may include but are not limited to: assistance with personal hygiene, activities/outings, social engagement, and shopping. DSPs assist with creating opportunities for individuals to live full and productive lives by assisting with participation and exploration of the community, cultivating and expanding independent living skills, assisting with the development of meaningful and personal relationships, and implementing strategies to achieve individuals’ personal goals.

Requirements

High school degree/GED
Current driver’s license with less than three points on their driving record
Must be okay with dogs
