Requirements

Must have a current and valid driver's license with the appropriate car insurance
Provide evidence of a high school diploma/transcripts
Have the ability to pass both Iowa and Illinois background checks
Demonstrate strength and flexibility to assist lifting individuals or provide other individual-related care when needed.
Maintain a positive, fun attitude to encourage the individuals we serve.

Responsibilities

Care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Supervision
Personal care training
Active treatment
Medication administration when necessary
Ensure the safety and well-being of designated individuals at all times
Ensure self-advocacy training for individuals
Ensure informed choices are being offered
Maintain documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory standards (e.g., individual data sheets, incident reports, etc.)
Provide input on individual progress and needs for programmatic purposes
