The Direct Support Professional (DSP) at FCL Bryant works as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality service and appropriate activities in a safe and healthy home and community environment for clients. This full-time, day shift position involves assisting clients with essential daily living skills, personal care tasks such as showering and dressing, and managing household duties like grocery shopping, meal preparation, and financial budgeting. The DSP is also responsible for providing transportation to appointments and activities, ensuring effective communication among staff regarding client needs and progress, and meticulously completing all required documentation, including behavioral and incident reports. Key aspects of the role include assisting with the client's Plan of Care, following medication management guidelines, organizing recreational activities, and serving as a positive role model. The position also requires maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of FCC facilities and vehicles, attending necessary training, and upholding strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and company policies. This is a safety-sensitive position.
