This Part Time Personal Supports (DSP) position involves providing hands-on care to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. The role includes assisting with personal hygiene, activities, social engagement, shopping, planning, cooking, and cleaning. Specifically, the DSP will support a young man in participating in community activities, developing independence, identifying new interests, managing money skills, exercising, and exploring his community. Staff are expected to be patient, respectful, trustworthy, and capable of encouraging a fun and fulfilling life. DSPs contribute to individuals living full and productive lives by assisting with community participation, cultivating independent living skills, fostering meaningful relationships, and implementing personal goals.
