About The Position
Since 1952, MCAR, Inc. has been the leading provider of services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We promote human rights, provide residential services and create employment opportunities for those with disabilities. We are seeking dedicated Direct Service Workers for our residential services who want to help us continue to provide services that improve the quality of life for people with special needs in Mercer County.
Requirements
- Driver's License, Social Security Card and High School / GED diploma for pre-employment review
- Operational Vehicle
- Vehicle Registration
- Vehicle Insurance
- Pre-Employment Criminal Background, Physical Examination, TB Test, Drug-Screen
- Ability to be in the group home for 24 hours - 6am to 10pm regular hours and 10pm to 6am sleep time.
Responsibilities
- Ensure health and safety of individuals
- Provide emergency support when necessary
- Participate as a team member
- Assist individuals with supporting their goals
- Assist with daily living skills such as personal hygiene care, shopping, laundry and meal preparation
- Transportation to doctor appointments, other programs, employment, etc.
- Documentation on online system required
- Ability to read and implement and Individual Support Plan (ISP)
