Under the direction of the Crisis Respite Supervisor, the Direct Support Professional (DSP) will provide supervision and care to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. Respite staff will apply crisis intervention principles as appropriate throughout their shifts and are responsible for preparing necessary documentation. The DSP will conduct intake screenings for admission to Crisis Respite and will engage clients at Respite in a trauma informed care way. The DSP will also provide virtual mental health triage screenings as needed for law enforcement drop offs to the facility. DSP is required to attend meetings and training programs relevant to the position. DSP will provide PRN coverage for the Crisis Diversion Center.
