About The Position

RT Industries in Troy, OH is looking to hire a full-time Employment Discovery Specialist. This job coaching position earns a competitive wage of $18.00 - $21.60 per hour. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
21+ years of age
CPR and first aid certifications
Valid driver's license with a good driving record
Ability to lift, carry, and move people or items in the work environment
Heart for working with people with disabilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently as well as with a team
Ability to show empathy while maintaining professional boundaries
Patience and ability to remain calm

Responsibilities

Provide individualized opportunities for community inclusion, enhanced independence, and relationship building in work experiences.
Help individuals with disabilities develop the skills that they need to obtain and maintain employment, such as effective communication, acceptable workplace conduct, workplace problem-solving skills, and workplace safety.
Enthusiastically engage with individuals while teaching hard and soft work skills and behaviors.
Provide direct support and set up and implement people-centered group employment opportunities.
Act as an advocate for those we serve while supporting considerations as outlined in each person's Individual Service Plan (ISP).
Accurately document all services rendered, including daily activities, attendance reports, and incident reports.
Record documentation for Medicaid reimbursement.
Provide support to individuals to effectively participate in day-to-day activities.
Transport people to and from work sites.
Provide personal care if the need arises.
Effectively manage work sites.
Supervise employment sites to ensure the safety and comfort of everyone involved.
