About The Position
The Arc of Somerset County is dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. We provide a wide range of programs and services that enhance the quality of life for over 1,400 individuals across 33 locations, including group homes, employment centers, and community programs. This role specifically focuses on supporting consumers within the Day Hab Program and Employment Services.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Valid Driver’s license
Nice To Haves
- One year’s experience I/DD (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Assist consumers, as needed, in skill development, activities of daily living, personal care, domestic living, recreation and socialization
- Ensure assigned clients’ nutritional needs; assisting with feeding as necessary
- Assist consumers in nutritional planning, grocery shopping and preparation of all meals.
- Collaborate on the development/implementation of consumers’ Individual Service plans (ISP).
- Train and support consumers in all areas of their ISP.
- Assist with medication administration.
- Train and support consumers in the community including: social, recreational, cultural, religion and education networks.
