About The Position

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) caregiver, you will work directly with individuals in need of assistance, and/or living with intellectual or developmental disabilities, or other complex medical needs. The day-to-day experiences are varied, ensuring no two days are the same.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Comfortable driving company vehicles to transport persons served
  • Some positions/locations may require your own personal vehicle and auto liability insurance
  • Person-centered, patient, and kind

  • Observant and detail-oriented
  • Positive role-model and able to work on a team
  • Committed to creating a respectful and collaborative environment
  • Computer skills for documentation
  • 18 years or older
  • Successful background clearance
  • Good reading, writing, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities.
  • Empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.
  • Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
  • Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals served.
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
  • Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
  • Transport persons served using company vehicles or personal vehicles (if required by the role).
  • Document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with team members.
