About The Position

This role involves assisting individuals in a residential group home setting to achieve various outcomes, including personal care and community integration. The position offers multiple schedules and a competitive wage with a weekend shift differential. A valid driver's license is required. Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • A successful background clearance is required as part of the onboarding/employment process
  • Good communication skills (reading, writing, and verbal) to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with team members.
  • A valid driver's license is required for this position (due to transporting persons served)
  • Candidates must be comfortable driving company vehicles to transport persons served as required
  • Prior experience with intense high behaviors, both verbal and physical (for Behavioral DSP role)
  • Patience, good decision-making and crisis-management skills (for Behavioral DSP role)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with adults with mental health issues, disabilities or related experience
  • Certifications & trainings (CBRF, CNA, CPR, etc.)
  • Prior IDD, mental health, psychiatric, and/or security experience (for Behavioral DSP role)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in a residential group home by helping people with disabilities achieve a variety of outcomes.
  • Assist with personal cares and provide normalization/community integration.
  • Provide support and mentorship with daily activities to those we support in a manner that ensures their health and safety.
  • Help with meals, cleaning, perform housekeeping, laundry duties and facilitating fun activities.
  • Provide hands-on mentoring to those we serve to help them become more independent.
  • Provide positive direction to the individuals to encourage them to achieve their personal goals.
  • Provide medication administration and ensure person's medical well-being.
  • Provide support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and people who are faced with mental health, behavioral, and/or significant medical challenges (for Behavioral DSP role).
