Dungarvin is a mission-driven team dedicated to providing person-centered support services that enable individuals, particularly those with intellectual or developmental disabilities or complex medical needs, to live as independently as possible. Since 1976, Dungarvin has been committed to meeting people where they are and working alongside them. The DSP acts as a caregiver and mentor, supporting individuals with daily activities such as meals, cleaning, housekeeping, laundry, and facilitating recreational activities. The role also involves providing hands-on mentoring to foster independence, offering positive direction to help individuals achieve personal goals, and administering medication while ensuring medical well-being. Paid training and hands-on experience are provided for those without prior experience. A specialized Behavioral DSP role is also available for candidates with experience in managing intense behaviors, supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health, behavioral, and significant medical challenges. This role requires patience, good decision-making, and crisis-management skills.
