About The Position

This role involves working directly with individuals in a residential group home setting to assist them in achieving various outcomes, including personal care and community integration. The company offers multiple schedules and a competitive wage with a weekend shift differential. A bonus is available based on the assigned program, and a valid driver's license is required.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
High school diploma or GED certificate
A successful background clearance is required as part of the onboarding/employment process
Good communication skills (reading, writing, and communication) are key for documenting care, following support plans, and collaborating with team members.
A valid driver's license is required for this position (due to transporting persons served)
Candidates must be comfortable driving company vehicles to transport persons served as required
Prior experience with intense high behaviors, both verbal and physical (for Behavioral DSP role)
Patience, good decision-making and crisis-management skills (for Behavioral DSP role)
Will not be intimidated by challenging behaviors (for Behavioral DSP role)

Nice To Haves

Experience with adults with mental health issues, disabilities or related experience
Certifications & trainings (CBRF, CNA, CPR, etc.) are appreciated but not required
Prior IDD, mental health, psychiatric, and/or security experience is strongly preferred (for Behavioral DSP role)

Responsibilities

Assist in a residential group home by helping people with disabilities achieve a variety of outcomes.
Assist with personal cares and provide normalization/community integration.
Provide support and mentorship with daily activities to those we support in a manner that ensures their health and safety.
Help with meals, cleaning, perform housekeeping, laundry duties and facilitating fun activities.
Provide hands-on mentoring to those we serve to help them become more independent.
Provide positive direction to the individuals to encourage them to achieve their personal goals.
Provide medication administration and ensure person's medical well-being.
Provide support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and people who are faced with mental health, behavioral, and/or significant medical challenges (for Behavioral DSP role).
