About The Position

Dungarvin is a mission-driven team dedicated to providing person-centered support services that empower individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, or other complex medical needs, to live as independently as possible. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver, you will work directly with people in need of assistance, providing them with person-centered supports. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in someone's life.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License (due to transporting persons served)
• Comfortable driving company vehicles to transport persons served as required
• Some positions/locations may require your own personal vehicle and auto liability insurance based on the role

• Computer skills for documentation
• 18 years or older
• Successful background clearance is required

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities.
• Empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.
• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals served.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with team members.
