About The Position

An Adult Day Associate is responsible for the direct care, development, implementation, coordination, and provision of program services to adults with disabilities in the Adult Day Program. This role involves implementing, supervising, and encouraging client participation in social, leisure, and recreational activities. The Adult Day Associate is also responsible for accurately completing and documenting daily goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to meet physical and mental requirements necessary to perform all functions of position.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Communication and relational skills to interact in a professional manner with parents, guardians, staff, and participants.
  • Ability to operate a variety of office equipment to include but not limited to personal computers, printers, and scanners.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software.
  • Must be certified in CPR or be willing to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Must be a Medication Manager or be willing to obtain certification within 6 months of hire if not previously certified.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with elderly individuals in a health care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to the individuals we serve according to their Individual Service Plans and individualized needs.
  • Implement, supervise, and encourage client participation in social, leisure, and recreational activities.
  • Accurately complete and document daily goals.
  • Participate in preparation and implementation of daily activities.
  • Report changes in participant’s condition or family situation to administrators and supervisors.
  • Attend and assist with community integration opportunities as required.
  • Assist with personal cares.
  • Provide a safe program area by performing sanitation requirements.
  • Follow safety regulations in all facilities while working.
  • Provide written documentation of services provided according to funding source regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of changes in the HCBS and CARF rules.
