About The Position
A Direct Support Professionals in the WOW program help promote independence and self-esteem to persons with disabilities by accompanying them into the community on a daily basis. Our Day Services program provides individuals the opportunity to participate in a variety of group activities throughout the day at a site or in the community.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A valid NYS license and clean driving record.
- Computer Skills: able to use email; google suite; database systems
- Ability to interact with our individuals in a positive and encouraging way.
- Professional manner, patience, empathy and possess a strong desire to help others.
- Ability to pass SCIP/CPR
- Ability to Lift 50 lbs

- DSP who loves to drive and work with individuals in the community.
Responsibilities
- Accompany individuals into the community on a daily basis.
- Introduce individuals to community-based and site-based activities that inspire growth.
