About The Position

As a Direct Support Professional DRIVER you are responsible for transporting individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities to and from the adult day program according to the schedule. The driver is expected to maintain safety while transporting and driving in accordance with all motor vehicle laws. During transport, the Direct Support Professional DRIVER will help provide positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals. Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance. Ensure the comfort, and safety of the individuals we serve. Assist with daily tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of the vehicle, and more.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid DL and car insurance.
  • Person-centered, patient, and kind.
  • Dependable, adaptable, flexible.
  • Observant and detail oriented.
  • Positive role-model for others and able to work on a team.
  • Committed to creating a respectful and collaborative environment.
  • Computer skills for documentation.
  • 18 years or older.
  • Successful background clearance is required.
  • Good communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking) for documentation, following support plans, and collaborating with team members.
