About The Position

Since 1976, we have been working alongside people with intellectual or developmental disabilities, or other complex medical needs. We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals / Caregivers, offering a chance to make a real difference in someone's life.

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• Valid driver's license required (due to transporting persons served)
• Comfortable driving to transport persons served as required
• Computer skills for documentation
• Good reading, writing, and communication skills for documenting care, following support plans, and collaborating with team members.
• Successful background clearance required as part of the onboarding/employment process.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities.
• Empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.
• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals served.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
