About The Position
Dungarvin is a mission-driven team dedicated to providing person-centered support services that enable individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, or other complex medical needs, to live as independently as possible. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver, you will work directly with people in need of assistance, providing them with person-centered supports. The role is focused on making a real difference in someone's life, offering a meaningful career with opportunities for growth and development.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License (due to transporting persons served)
- Comfortable driving company vehicles to transport persons served as required
- Person-centered, patient, and kind
- Dependable, adaptable, flexible
- Observant and detail-oriented
- Positive role-model and able to work on a team
- Committed to creating a respectful and collaborative environment
- Computer skills for documentation
- 18 years or older
- Successful background clearance
- Good reading, writing, and communication skills

Responsibilities
- Provide direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities.
- Empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.
- Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
- Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals served.
- Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
- Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
- Document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with team members.
