About The Position

Dungarvin is a mission-driven team dedicated to providing person-centered support services that empower individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, or other complex medical needs, to live as independently as possible. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver, you will work directly with these individuals, offering hands-on assistance, encouragement, and guidance to enhance their comfort, safety, and personal growth. Requirements

• Valid Driver's License (due to transporting persons served).
• Comfortable driving company vehicles to transport persons served as required.
• Some positions/locations may require your own personal vehicle and auto liability insurance based on the role.
• Person-centered, patient, and kind.
• Dependable, adaptable, flexible.
• Observant and detail-oriented.
• Positive role-model and able to work on a team.
• Committed to creating a respectful and collaborative environment.
• Computer skills for documentation.
• 18 years or older.
• Successful background clearance required.
• Good communication skills (reading, writing, and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities.
• Empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.
• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals served.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with team members.
