About The Position

Dungarvin is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver in Evansville, IN. This role involves providing direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must have computer skills for documentation.
  • Must possess good communication skills, including reading, writing, and verbal communication.
  • Must be able to pass a background clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities.
  • Empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.
  • Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
  • Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals served.
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
  • Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
  • Document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with internal and external team members.
