Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver $1500 Sign-On Bonus
About The Position
Dungarvin is a mission-driven team dedicated to providing person-centered support services that enable individuals to live as independently as possible. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver, you will work directly with individuals who need assistance, including those with intellectual or developmental disabilities or complex medical needs. The role focuses on empowering individuals with disabilities by providing direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance, ultimately aiming to help them live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.
Requirements

- Computer skills for documentation
- 18 years or older
- Successful background clearance required
- Good communication skills (reading, writing, and verbal)

- Prior experience with intense high behaviors, both verbal and physical
- Prior IDD, mental health, psychiatric, and/or security experience
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities.
- Empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.
- Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
- Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals served.
- Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
- Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
- Document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with team members.
