About The Position

This role provides services to intellectually and developmentally challenged adults in their homes and community, assisting them in daily routines and recreational activities. Requirements

• A High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.
• Relevant experience working with Individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, dual diagnoses, or forensic involvement.
• A current driver’s license and California automobile insurance coverage for driving a personal vehicle to and from various community locations.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

• Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
• Related experience in fields such as Assisted Living, Behavior Aide, Caregiver, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Developmentally Disabled (DD), Job Coach, Direct Support Professional (DSP), Child Care, Elderly Care, Senior Care, Hospice Care, ILS, LVN, Autism, Special Education, Special Needs, ILS, SLS, Housekeeper, Driver, Cleaner, Home Health Aides (HHAs), Residential Care Facility Staff, In-home support, Med Tech, Personal Care Attendant, Day Program Staff or Adult Day Program.

Responsibilities

• Assist Individuals with personal needs such as hygiene (baths/showers, changing clothes/adult briefs, teeth brushing) and medication reminders.
• Assist Individuals with social needs including meal preparation, cleaning, and engaging in activities like exercise/movement and games.
• Transport Individuals in personal or company vehicles to community activities.
• Keep accurate progress notes.
• Proactively communicate information with the team about the Individuals' needs.
• Participate in all required training, team, and company meetings.
• Take ownership of personal behaviors and coach others in demonstrating company C.A.R.E. values (compassion, adaptability, respect, and empowerment).
• Receive ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
• Be recognized for personal and team contributions and demonstration of C.A.R.E. values.
