About The Position

This position is for 16 & 17 year olds only. Many people go to work every day, wondering if they’re making a difference. Direct support professional assistants don’t wonder—they know they are. Filling Homes is looking for Direct Support Professional Assistants, or DSPAs, in Napoleon, Bryan, and West Unity. We are looking for fun people who find joy in helping others! As a Direct Support Professional Assistant, you’ll assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with their daily needs and activities. Through the care you’ll give, our residents have the opportunity to reach their greatest level of independence. DSPAs are in your grocery stores helping people shop. They’re accompanying people to local events in your community. And they’re providing training and assistance to someone you may know. Anyone can be a DSPA. There is no special training required—and we pay you while you learn everything you need to succeed. And unlike most jobs, DSPAs do something deeply rewarding while they earn a competitive wage and benefits. Coming to work can end up feeling like spending time with family. Our goal is to serve them and our community with compassion and integrity by having an unmatched commitment supporting the journey toward new life skills and goals.
