Direct Support Overnight Worker,BOP
About The Position
Hiring Overnight Youth Development Technicians or Night Monitors for the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) unit at Abraxas Academy in Morgantown, PA. In this role, you will help at-risk adolescents BUILD BETTER FUTURES. Abraxas Academy provides detention and treatment services for court committed youth. In this role, you will supervise clients during the sleeping hours in a manner that ensures their safety and security. You will complete and document regular room checks throughout your shift. You will also assist in the management of the morning wake-up routine by educating, guiding, and directing clients in a manner that promotes their growth and development. This is a great role for you if you are a night owl; as you will remain awake during your shift. This position requires a GED or High School Diploma. It does not require previous experience working with youth. Comprehensive paid training will be provided to you. Are you looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of at-risk youth? Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Criminal clearances (Act 33 and 34, specific State & child clearances and, if necessary, FBI).
- Non-communicable diseases physical exam, drug test, TB test
- Must have a valid PA Driver's License
- Must pass both federal and state background checks which screen for crimes including, but not limited to drug related crimes, violent crimes, sexual abuse, domestic violence, child abuse, and repeated misdemeanors
- Must pass a drug test and both federal and state background checks!
Nice To Haves
- one (1) year applicable experience or Associate’s Degree preferred. (Associate’s degree or sixty (60) credit hours from an accredited college or university.
