About The Position

Base pay $22.50/hr. Being a Medical Support Transporter has many advantages! As a Medical Support Transporter at Devereux, you will be a critical part of a multi-disciplinary team of dedicated experts who share your passion for helping children and adults in need. The primary responsibility for this position is to maintain a nurturing environment within the center that is conducive to healthy and therapeutic emotional healing and growth of children and adults. Every day you will have the opportunity to: Actively assist children with their individualized plans for daily living Ensure medical appointment scheduling occures with all relevant parties Maintain mandated medication certification and dispense medication as assigned Complete medical inventory and ordering for assigned program Schedule and transport children to doctor’s appointments and other important activities We provide special treatment for adolescents and adults with emotional, behavioral, intellectual and developmental disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorders and co-occurring mental health and behavioral health disorders. The emphasis at Devereux is to teach, coach and support our clients to learn daily living skills, coping skills and social skills while staying active and having fun. You will add value by: Maintaining a safe and therapeutic treatment environment that meets the physical, emotional, and personal needs of program clients while improving functioning and minimizing interfering behaviors. Providing client documentation to include shift reports, incident reports, and individual progress notes.

Requirements

  • 21 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to lift up to 50+ pounds and perform Safe and Positive Approaches

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree preferred.
  • One year experience preferred.

Responsibilities
