About The Position

Direct Support Caregiver positions include weekend shifts as scheduled. This is a part-time role with shifts on Tuesdays and every other weekend from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM, and also Tuesdays and every other weekend from 4 PM to 8 PM. Caregivers at Sevita help people grow, learn, and live well, developing meaningful relationships with the individuals they serve. They take initiative to help participants be part of the community and enjoy their favorite activities, and support participants with developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition. This role involves assisting people with their personal hygiene and supporting individuals who may have behavioral challenges and other complex needs. The ideal candidate is compassionate, patient, and finds meaning in this type of work.

Requirements

  • Drivers License for at least 1 year (post permit)
  • Clean driving record that meets Sevita’s insurability policy
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Six months of experience in Intellectual disabilities, behavioral health, or mental health preferred
