About The Position

Heritage Insurance is looking for a motivated and ambitious Direct Sales Leader to join our growing sales organization. This is a production-focused sales and leadership opportunity for someone who wants to build their own book of business while developing the skills to train, mentor, and lead others. You'll work directly with small and medium-sized business owners and key decision-makers within your assigned territory. Through prospecting, B2B cold calling, face-to-face meetings, referrals, and relationship building, you'll introduce businesses to supplemental insurance solutions designed to help protect their employees and families. As you master our sales process and demonstrate consistent success, you'll have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities by training and mentoring new sales representatives while continuing to grow your own business.

Requirements

Must already hold a Health & Life insurance producer license or be willing and able to obtain one.
Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 4 years of professional post-high-school work experience.
Goal-oriented, competitive, and highly motivated.
Confident in communicating with business owners and decision-makers.
Comfortable with B2B cold calling and prospecting.
Strong at building professional relationships.
Comfortable conducting face-to-face sales presentations.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Organized and accountable for managing daily activities and metrics.
Coachable and committed to continuous improvement.
Interested in developing leadership and mentoring skills.
Persistent and comfortable handling rejection.

Responsibilities

Build and grow your own book of business within an assigned territory.
Prospect for new clients through B2B cold calling, referrals, networking, and relationship development.
Meet face-to-face with business owners, managers, and key decision-makers.
Identify client needs and present supplemental insurance solutions.
Build long-term relationships with business owners and clients.
Schedule and conduct follow-up appointments with prospective and existing clients.
Contact new businesses, referrals, and existing clients who need additional service or coverage.
Maintain and expand your client portfolio through consistent follow-up and relationship management.
Assist with hands-on, in-field training for new sales representatives.
Demonstrate effective prospecting, presentation, communication, and closing techniques.
Provide one-on-one coaching and mentorship.
Help new representatives learn and apply the sales process.
Support new team members as they develop confidence and sales skills.
Lead by example through your own production, professionalism, and work ethic.
Participate in team meetings, training calls, and leadership development opportunities.
Create and manage your weekly schedule based on business-development activities and client appointments.
Maintain accurate prospect and client information.
Track and submit daily sales activity and performance metrics.
Communicate regularly with your sales manager and sales team.
Attend scheduled meetings, training sessions, and team calls.
Take ownership of your goals, activity, and overall business performance.
