About The Position

We're a performance marketing agency looking for a direct response video editor who lives and breathes ad creative. If you understand that every frame needs to earn the next one — and you're using AI tools to move faster without sacrificing quality — let's talk. Edit direct response video ads for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube across a range of client verticals. You'll build hooks that stop the scroll, structure edits around proven DR frameworks, and produce multiple ad variations fast. Every cut should serve one goal: get the viewer to take action.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency with AI tools (Runway, ElevenLabs, Midjourney, Sora, Kling, HeyGen, etc.) and sharp prompting skills to generate b-roll, voiceovers, and assets on demand.
  • Aesthetic command of DR ad styles — bold captions, punchy fonts, pattern interrupts, and native formats that feel like content, not commercials.
  • Deep understanding of what stops the scroll in the first 1.5 seconds and how to hold attention through to the CTA.
  • Motion graphics skills — kinetic typography, text callouts, highlight boxes, zooms, and pacing tricks that boost retention.
  • Editing speed — you can ship multiple hook variations and full ad cuts in a single day.
  • Ability to follow briefs precisely, take direction well, and iterate without ego.

Nice To Haves

  • Track record editing DR ads across verticals (ecommerce, info products, coaching, financial, health, lead gen) that actually performed.
  • Familiarity with DR frameworks — PAS, AIDA, problem/agitate/solve, hook-story-offer.
  • Experience with VSL editing, testimonial cutdowns, and short-form native edits.
