Direct Response Representative Location: US – Raleigh, NC | On Site Role Overview: Drive early-stage revenue growth by converting high-intent inbound demand into qualified pipeline and shaping first impressions of the Genesys Cloud platform. This role influences how organizations evaluate customer experience technology, guiding prospects from initial interest to meaningful engagement with sales. At Genesys, we are redefining how businesses connect with customers through AI-powered experience orchestration, and this position plays a critical role in accelerating that transformation. You will partner closely with sales and marketing to ensure every qualified lead translates into a measurable opportunity, while building foundational skills that prepare you for a future in direct sales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience through military service
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage professional audiences
  • Comfort using digital tools, CRM systems, and sales enablement platforms
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and sales methodologies
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Interest in building a long-term career in sales

Nice To Haves

  • Internship or early experience in sales, customer service, or lead generation
  • Exposure to SaaS, cloud platforms, or customer experience technologies
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce or similar tools

Responsibilities

  • Manage inbound lead flow to ensure rapid qualification and conversion into sales-ready opportunities
  • Drive pipeline growth by identifying customer needs and aligning them with Genesys Cloud solutions
  • Engage prospects through consultative conversations that uncover business challenges and decision drivers
  • Deliver high-level product demonstrations that communicate platform value and differentiation
  • Collaborate with sales teams to transition qualified opportunities and maintain pipeline momentum
  • Apply structured prospecting techniques to expand engagement within target accounts
  • Track performance metrics to continuously improve conversion rates and response effectiveness
  • Maintain consistent follow-up practices to accelerate deal progression and customer engagement
