About The Position

This internship focuses on supporting the Procurement and Direct Materials Team in developing Commodity Strategies, managing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and ensuring documentation meets IATF audit requirements, which is critical for direct materials supplier management in the auto-industry. The role involves analyzing monthly performance reports, investigating variances, presenting findings, managing the business review process, tracking vendor spend, supporting strategy development, launching RFQs and E-Auctions, and assisting with supplier transitions.

Requirements

Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university
Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Logistics and/or Business Management.
Ability to be in the greater Milwaukee area in the summer.
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Support the Procurement and Direct Materials Team in developing Commodity Strategies.
Manage and track Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
Ensure all documentation is available and properly completed for IATF audit requirements.
Analyze monthly reporting on performance, investigate variances, and present findings.
Organize and file forms as appropriate.
Manage the business review process and establish a master schedule.
Track and monitor vendor spend.
Support the development of strategy templates.
Manage the scheduling and cadence of strategy development sessions.
Launch RFQ’s and E-Auctions as necessary.
Support supplier transition.
