About The Position

As an Energy Technician, you will act as a local on-site program and company representative to residential customers. Install energy efficient equipment, conduct pre- and post-installation verifications and other technical data gathering activities through a defined territory. Successful candidates will reside in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for daily travel within the state.

Requirements

  • 0-1 Years experience in a relative industry
  • High school or Associates Degree
  • Work in all climates
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling, climbing
  • Use repetitive hand motion
  • Lift, carry or push up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to work in-person in multiple homes per day (this is not a work-from-home position; you will be in the field servicing customers’ homes)
  • Are at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license
  • Successful hires must pass pre-employment checks.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located without the need for employer sponsorship or support.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct installation of residential energy efficiency upgrades
  • Provide technical advice, guidance and training on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement in accordance with client specifications
  • Record and report to program staff customer and contractor interactions to adhere to program requirements
  • Provide input and status updates to program staff regarding project scope, planning and effectiveness of products
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and issues, regarding installation in accordance with client specifications
  • Act as local, on-site program and company representative to customers and contractors; to encourage participation in the program and overcome barriers.
  • Travel throughout a defined territory
