About The Position

This position is responsible for controlling and monitoring the application and type of latex and chemicals being placed on carpet. The role involves operating and adjusting machinery to ensure proper treatment application and quality.

Requirements

Ability to control and monitor the application and type of latex and chemicals.
Ability to perform startup procedures including opening valves and starting machinery.
Ability to monitor and adjust machinery parameters such as puddle size, plow adjustment, and cup weight.
Ability to adjust pump speed and air pressure.
Ability to operate sprayer or foamer for topical treatments.
Ability to refer to charts for treatment application.
Ability to monitor and adjust tenter wings.
Ability to check and clean tenter pin brushes.
Ability to monitor and refill tenter pin oil tank.
Ability to maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Responsibilities

At startup, open valves for latex holding tanks, ensure that all pump switches are on, start up froth machine, and ensure that valves are open on treatment application station.
Monitor puddle size, plow adjustment, and cup weight.
Adjust pump speed and air pressure to achieve proper cup weight.
Operate sprayer or foamer for topical treatments.
Refer to chart for type of treatment to be applied to each style.
Adjust air pressure as necessary on foamer.
Continuously monitor tenter wings and adjust as needed.
Monitor pretenter wings.
Check tenter pin brushes and clean as needed.
Monitor tenter pin oil tank and refill as needed.
Assist in keeping work areas in a clean, orderly manner.
Perform miscellaneous duties as required.
