About The Position
At Pathlight Community Services, our mission is simple: Quality Services for Quality of Life. We are dedicated to supporting individuals through life’s challenges by providing safe, supportive housing and essential services to adults in our community. We are currently seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Direct Care Workers (DCWs) to join our team at our Ypsilanti locations.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a High School Diploma or GED
- Have a valid Driver's License
- Be able to successfully complete a criminal background check
- Be dependable, responsible, and comfortable providing hands-on personal care
- Be willing to work weekends and holidays
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a licensed group home
Responsibilities
- Providing compassionate, person-centered care and support
- Assisting residents with activities of daily living
- Providing 100% hands-on care to all residents, including: Brief changes, Toileting, Showering and bathing, Dressing, Feeding, Preparing and serving meals and providing dining assistance
- Administering medications as prescribed and according to established procedures
- Completing daily cleaning and maintaining a safe, sanitary home environment
- Engaging residents in enjoyable activities that encourage socialization and overall well-being
- Supporting residents with dignity, patience, and respect
