Direct Care Worker (Bloomfield Hills)
About The Position
Alternative Services is seeking kind, compassionate, and genuine individuals to support people with disabilities in their homes. As a Direct Support Professional, your role is to improve lives. The company has been a leader in the industry for over 47 years and is dedicated to employee growth, job satisfaction, and well-being. This role involves supporting adults with disabilities in a small group home setting (Adult Foster Care home), providing 24-hour care, 365 days a year. Full-time and part-time positions are available on the 2nd shift (2 pm to 10 pm) and 3rd shift (10 pm to 6 am) in Bloomfield Hills and Bloomfield Township, MI.
Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Possess a valid Michigan Driver's license.
- Possess excellent moral character.

Responsibilities
- Assisting in a variety of daily living activities, including personal care (hygiene, basic health, and administering medication), cleaning, cooking, and shopping.
- Serving as an advocate and role model in all interactions with persons served.
- Supporting persons served as they participate in leisure activities (at-home and in the community).
- Respecting the rights, dignity, property, and privacy of persons served.
