About The Position

The position is for a Direct Care Worker, also referred to as a Home Health Aide (HHA), at BAYADA, a mission-driven, not-for-profit organization. This role involves providing personal care services, household support, and companion care to adults, enabling them to live safely and independently at home. The Direct Care Worker will follow a written plan of care developed by a registered nurse. Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services, household support, and companion care (homemaker) services to help adults stay safe and independent at home.
• Follow a written plan of care by a registered nurse.
• Help clients with activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc.
• Provide household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making etc.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
• Assist with range of motion/exercises.
• Assist with ambulation (Transfers/use of mechanical lifting devices).
• Provide medication reminders.
