Direct Care Worker
About The Position
This role involves supporting a client in a home setting who is recovering from a recent knee replacement. The client lives with a spouse and requires assistance with daily routines, mobility support, and medication reminders. Caregivers should be comfortable providing reassurance during occasional episodes of anxiety and maintaining a calm, supportive presence. Evening and overnight support may include assisting with a bedtime routine and monitoring use of a CPAP machine. CareOne Senior Care is seeking compassionate, reliable professionals to join our growing team. Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. and assist with mobility
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and vehicle registration
- Reliable phone for communication and scheduling
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Must pass a background check
- TB test required (can be completed during onboarding)
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry
- Support with daily routines and personal care needs
- Provide medication reminders
- Assist with mobility and safe transfers (training provided)
- Monitor client safety and respond appropriately to needs
- Support nighttime routines as needed
