About The Position
University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Workers to join our team in Petersburg, MI. As a Direct Care Worker, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in their daily lives, helping them maintain independence and improve their quality of life. This role requires a caring attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a caregiving or healthcare role is an asset, but NOT required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle physical tasks related to client care.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and compassionate IS A MUST.
- Valid driver’s license or State ID is required for the position.
- Ability to pass background checks.

- Reliable transportation is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients’ health status or behavior.
- Help clients with mobility and transportation as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients.
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals.
- Document services provided and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
