About The Position
University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Workers to join our team in Ann Arbor, MI. In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. This position offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $14.00 to $19.00, with bi-weekly payment.
Requirements
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, compassionate, and patient.
- Pass background checks.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in home care or related field preferred but not required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Help clients with medication reminders and light housekeeping tasks.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients’ conditions or behavior to supervisors.
- Follow care plans and protocols as directed by nursing or healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
