About The Position
PRN Direct Care Support Staff for IDD Residential Facility. Join our dedicated team at a leading IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) residential facility, where compassion and professionalism come together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals we serve. We are seeking flexible, caring, and dependable PRN (as-needed) Direct Care Support Staff to provide high-quality support and assistance to residents, ensuring their safety, well-being, and independence.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards individuals with IDD.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain confidentiality.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR (training provided if necessary).
Nice To Haves
- Relevant experience in caregiving or healthcare preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management
- Monitor and document clients’ behaviors, progress, and any changes in condition
- Support clients during community outings and recreational activities
- Collaborate with team members, families, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for clients and staff
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times.
- Cook and serve meals.
- Follow the facility menu as posted.
- Responsible for completing items listed on the facility Chore Sheet as directed by the administrator.
- Responsible for assuring all residents are treated with dignity and respect.
- Responsible for the supervision of all resident medication procedures.
- Ensure that all residents receive their proper medication at the proper time.
- All narcotics will be counted and documented on each shift.
- Daily chart documentation
- Be familiar with The Wood Group’s policy and procedures to include employee handbook.
