About The Position

Futures Through Choices is seeking compassionate, caring, energetic, creative, and fun individuals to join their team as Direct Care Support Staff. This entry-level, part-time position focuses on helping individuals with disabilities achieve their greatest potential and live more independently. The role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, promoting their decision-making abilities, and engaging them in community and in-house activities. The team is also responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary living environment.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients become as self-sufficient as they are physically and mentally able.
• Assisting clients in preparing meals.
• Assisting clients with hygiene needs, including toileting, showering, and changing briefs when needed.
• Helping clients make healthy choices and promoting their right to make choices.
• Taking clients out into the community and attending events with them.
• Preparing crafts and other appropriate activities for clients.
• Ensuring the living area, including all contents and surrounding areas, are in a safe and sanitary condition.
• Performing basic housekeeping and laundry.
