About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Staff member to join our team in providing essential support within our shelter operations. This part-time position requires individuals who are committed to ensuring the safety and security of our guests while meeting their immediate needs. The role may involve working on Saturdays and Sundays from 3 PM to 11 PM.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Basic computer skills required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in Human Services preferred.
• Ability to speak Spanish, highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an approachable and engaging attitude toward guests and visitors, providing support and assistance with their needs.
• Assist in supervising the nightly and weekend management and maintenance of facilities, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and security.
• Enforce the rules and regulations that guests agreed to follow upon entrance into the shelter.
• Manage emergencies and provide brief crisis management as needed.
• Supervise meal preparation and distribution of food and supplies.
