About The Position

The Direct Care Staff is responsible for the daily care, support, and supervision of youth in a congregate care setting. This role involves direct interaction with children, ensuring their well-being, and assisting them with various daily tasks and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must have past experience with interacting and supervising children.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant experience or higher education preferred.
• Past experience in a group home, residential facility, foster home, or similar setting preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong observation skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily care, support and supervision of youth.
• Responsible for feeding, providing transportation, performing minor maintenance tasks, and supervising youth in completing tasks, including chores, homework, and other personal responsibilities.
• Responsible for reporting crucial information, completing incident reports and other documentation, and evaluating the youth's performance.
• Performs other duties as directed by the Direct Care Supervisor, Director of Congregate Care and Executive Director/Administrator.
