About The Position

Center for Human Development (CHD) is currently looking for flexible, dependable, and compassionate Per Diem Direct Care Staff to join our relief pool. Requirements

  • Must be flexible to work at more than one residential site as assigned by managers to meet staffing needs.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for work use.
  • All candidates must pass a background record screening process.
  • Reliable smartphone or device with access to Microsoft Teams for scheduling purposes.
  • Compassionate & Kind: A passion for helping others with a positive, empathetic approach.
  • Strong Communicator: Solid written and verbal skills, with a commitment to serving those with significant needs.
  • Adaptable Team Player: Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively within a team model across changing environments.

Nice To Haves

  • MAP Certification: Highly preferred. Candidates who are not certified must have the ability to complete Medication Administration Program training upon hire.
  • Current First Aid and CPR preferred.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with dementia or behavioral complexities is highly encouraged.
  • Experience as a Home Health Aide (HHA), Personal Care Assistant (PCA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or family caregiver.

Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene.
  • Establish professional, person-centered, and supportive relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
  • Safely administer medications to individuals (MAP certified staff preferred).
  • Advocate for individuals in community settings and provide opportunities to optimize their independence.
