About The Position

JRI’s Developing Abilities program provides opportunities for people to live in homes and apartments in their communities and to grow through job training, supported employment and day habilitation services. We provide therapeutic and social supports to enrich the lives of people with disabilities. We are looking for Part-time Relief Direct Care Staff Members to work in our Residential and Day Programs in Lexington!

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is required.
  • Availability to cover open shifts as necessary.
  • Capability to obtain MAP certification.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently without direct supervision or colleagues present.
  • Valid driver’s license, with the ability to transport individuals in agency vehicles as well as your own vehicle when needed.
  • Background checks and driving record evaluations will be conducted.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality supports to adults with developmental disabilities.
  • Responsible for daily activities of clients.
  • Implement treatment objectives.
  • Organize and accompany individuals on community outings.
  • Maintain case records and perform data collection.
  • Provide personal care to clients.
  • Administer medications as required.
