About The Position

Sentara CarePlex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical Oncology Unit. This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. The Medical Oncology Unit at Sentara CarePlex is a 16-bed unit that specializes in providing exceptional care for Solid Tumor Oncology, Hematology Oncology, and Surgical Oncology patients. Requirements

  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
  • RN-Associate’s Degree, or RN-Bachelor’s Degree, or RN-Diploma, or RN-Master’s Degree
  • Certification in Chemotherapy/Biotherapy required after 6-months of hire.
