About The Position

Sentara CarePlex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Medicine Unit. This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. You will find that teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to ensure the best care for our patients. The unit is a 24-bed unit where patients with a variety of healthcare needs are cared for. It is the designated Stroke Unit and provides care for respiratory compromised patients on Bipap, high-flo and/or chronic long term vents. Care is provided for patients with DKA, CHF, Pneumonia, and much more. Sentara CarePlex Hospital, located in Hampton, VA, is a 224-bed technologically advanced, acute care facility, and Certified Primary Stroke Center.

Requirements

Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
RN-Associate’s Degree, or RN-Bachelor’s Degree, or RN-Diploma, or RN-Master’s Degree
