About The Position

Avail Health & Behavioral Solutions, LLC is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Direct Care Provider to join their registry network as an Independent Contractor. In this role, your workday will involve planning and enjoying a variety of fun outings—including bowling, swimming, fishing, arcades, movies, and local activities. While having fun is the priority, you will also play a key role in guiding the client's personal development, modeling healthy social boundaries, and creating a safe, stress-free environment for him to thrive. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle for professional use (gas/mileage not reimbursed)
  • Ability to pass a Level II Background Screening
  • Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client care and safety with limited supervision
  • Personal smartphone required for app-based scheduling and client communication
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (required within 30 days of onboarding)
  • APD Training Certificates (required within 30 days of onboarding)

Nice To Haves

  • CNA, BLS, HHA, or DSP certifications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities and independent living skills
  • Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and community activities
  • Encourage positive behaviors and reinforce person-centered goals
  • Implement and follow individualized care plans and behavioral support strategies
  • Promote client dignity, choice, and community involvement
  • Maintain professional boundaries and respectful communication
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation, progress notes, and incident reports
  • Ensure client safety following APD guidelines and agency protocols
  • Communicate effectively with agency leadership, families, and support coordinators
  • Respond to behavioral or medical emergencies following agency protocols (as needed)
