About The Position

The Program Instructor will play a pivotal role in designing, delivering, and evaluating educational and training programs that meet the needs of diverse participant groups. This position requires the ability to engage learners effectively, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages growth and skill development. The instructor will collaborate with program coordinators to tailor content that aligns with organizational goals and participant outcomes. Success in this role is measured by the ability to inspire participants, adapt teaching methods to various learning styles, and continuously improve program quality through feedback and assessment. Ultimately, the Program Instructor contributes to the overall mission by empowering individuals with knowledge and skills that enhance their personal and professional lives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in instructional delivery or teaching in a formal or informal setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage diverse groups and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Basic proficiency with educational technology and tools.
  • Valid and Current Driver's License
  • Age 18 or older
  • A high degree of flexibility, organizational skills and creativity is required
  • Experience working with individuals with IDD

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Education, Adult Learning, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with community-based programs or non-profit organizations.
  • Certification in instructional design or adult education.
  • Familiarity with virtual learning platforms and digital content creation.
  • Multilingual abilities to support diverse participant populations.
  • Associates with experience in the IDD field.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and prepare instructional materials and lesson plans that align with program objectives.
  • Deliver engaging and interactive sessions to participants, ensuring clarity and comprehension.
  • Assess participant progress and provide constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with program staff to evaluate and improve curriculum content and delivery methods.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and program evaluations.
